EILEEN RIVERA

Welcome! I grew up in Queens, NY, where family trips to Broadway shows sparked a lifelong love of storytelling and performance. My family then moved to the West Coast while I was in high school, and it was there among my fellow "theater kids" where I found my first artistic home. I performed in community theater, graduated from the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts, and eventually earned my BFA in Acting from Boston University's School of Theatre.

 

After graduation, I returned to New York City to build the career I had dreamed of since childhood, becoming part of the vibrant theater community that first inspired me. I've performed off-Broadway at The Public Theater, New York Theatre Workshop, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and Ma-Yi Theater Company, among others. Regionally, my work has taken me to Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, Olney Theatre Center in Maryland, TheatreSquared in Northwest Arkansas, Studio Theatre in DC, and Diversionary Theatre in San Diego, and many more theaters across the country.

 

I also frequently collaborate with my husband, director Nelson T. Eusebio III, on projects that speak to our shared artistic values. Our short films INS & Outs and Two Weeks have screened at festivals nationwide and aired on television.
